Long time no see! This year I’m kicking off with another short 3-video series exploring the history of Japanese ninja. Last year we learned that Ninja weren’t exactly the way they are portrayed in modern day history, BUT by giving them this fun appearance, we are allowing this little-known part of history to become accessible to children, and stay relevant in today’s society.
In the next three videos we’ll be looking at how the Ninja culture is being preserved and presented in modern day Japan. Starting with the Hattori Hanzo ninja team in Nagoya, their leader Tokugawa Ieyasu, and the crazy athletic performances they have co-ordinated for visitors.
